24 stycznia Amerykańska Akademia Filmowa ogłosiła nominacje do Oscarów 2012. Wśród wyróżnionych są 2. polskie rodzynki - Agnieszka Holland z nominacją dla filmu obcojęzycznego - "W ciemności" i Janusz Kamiński za zdjęcia do "War Horse".

Laureatów 84. edycji jednej z najsłynniejszych nagród filmowych poznamy w niedzielę 26 lutego (w Polsce nad ranem).
